How do we date in the 21st Century?

First of all, I am not even sure if I am chick-bait or boyfriend material. I have been in many relationships where after a will I stop paying as much attention. But its not like I have lost interest, there is always a precipitate.

Hello Readers,

I am revealing a truth today but it is question rather than a statement.

First of all, I am not even sure if I am chick-bait or boyfriend material. I have been in many relationships where after a will I stop paying as much attention. But its not like I have lost interest, there is always a precipitate.

  • work hours
  • long distance
  • my health
  • clash of values or lifestyle

So I have regrets in relationship because they say you make time for what matters. But I have been told by a friend to accept that my wife is my wife and I am still preparing myself to be worthy of her, just like she is still preparing herself.

We will meet when the time is right.

And then there will not be any excuses.

However, until then everyone has been setting me up with friends and relatives.

I dated one of my boys sisters and she was a great girl but my health and distance just put the relationship under too much pressure to survive.

I have dated two girls who I meet through two of my closest male friends. One was very promising, lasted more than 2 years but ended because we were both immature. The other was just a difference in values and lifestyle.

Now, my aunty introduced me to a medical resident in Chicago, who as great as the conversations are, just doesn’t have my time for a new long distance relation with different time zones.

So my cousin, introduced me to a doctor at home (not to discriminate but I have always put the medical profession on a pedestal. I feel that anyone who chooses to dedicate their lives to saving other people’s life despite all the stress and issues with medicine is heroic and attractive.); so we will see how it goes, not sure how well my cousin knows me but oh well.

But not all my relationships are by recommendations, I have asked out another girl after 5 dates, yes another doctor, who categorically friend zoned me with ‘practical’ reasons that if the attraction was there I feel would have been overcomed.

So, I don’t know how people do it in the 21st century and looked to technology.

Here, I made a huge mistake. I downloaded Tinder. Lol.

That app is not for relationships but hook ups and even then there are no free lunches. Enough said.

So I need more of a ‘e’ harmony for Lag. Don’t know if there is one but I think I will focus on me for a while and just be open to meeting new people anywhere I go. After all women like confident, independent and present guys who will give the care and attention they desire and sadly you can lose money chasing women but attract women while chasing money- but you can’t keep a good woman with only money.

God bless
